Don't know how to put a picture on from the discussion so have added an attachment. SOmeone gave me a prompt to do a collage and images from a beginning image. I started with the stencil image in blue and did collage and texta additions. There is also another page I did which I haven't attached. Anyone else interested in using an image as a jump off point for a collage.

Okay, I just checked your picture and realized...it is a watch, not a compass. Oh well. The collage was still fun.

Carol, I loved your collage. You thought the watch was a compass and that is fine. It was still a leap off point and I appreciate you joining in. Are you planning on doing another prompt or will I? I'm needing another challenge

Carol, I thought you belonged to Kathryn's group. It is the yahoo group True north and you'd need to join which is easy. Some people post on albums in the photo section and others on their blog like I do. Is it the soul journaling yahoo group you belong to? Maybe I am confused with someone else. I thought I saw you on both those groups.

Oh, yep, I think I do belong. I haven't been there much as I found it a bit hard to navigate, and then they changed and I got lost. lol

I will post a challenge right now! Hope you play!

Carol, Ooooo goodie. Where is the challenge? I'll go on a hunt for it.

Hi all, here's my rather belated response to Susan's Challenge. The pages of my collected WB Yeats poems were all coming loose from their paperback spine...Soon after you posted the challenge I thought that I could use this one as an image....Then last week I stopped procrastinating...it was done VERY quick.....and then it's been hanging around waiting to be photographed.....and the paper is going all curly.....but anyhow....here it is my friends...you may/may not like it....... I love to read the poetry of Yeats, my particular favourite is An Irish Airman Foresees His Death (I like the lines: "A lonely impulse of delight/Drove to this tumult in the clouds;/I balanced all, brought all to mind,/...../In balance with this life, this death."(that didn't suggest itself as a a collage image though!). I used to have a whole army of dolls I'd drawn and cut out when I was a kid and spent many happy hours inventing stories about them....just lately I've got interested again in cutting out silhouettes...and hope to do some more paper dolls as time goes by.... I'll be off line for a couple of weeks shortly so if you post a comment I will reply when I'm back. Be happy.

oops: here's the words of the poem:

To A Child Dancing in the Wind by W.B. Yeats

Dance there upon the shore;
What need have you to care
For wind or water's roar?
And tumble out your hair
That the salt drops have wet;
Being young you have not known
The fool's triumph, nor yet
Love lost as soon as won,
Nor the best labourer dead
And all the sheaves to bind.
What need have you to dread
The monstrous crying of wind?

Wow. Intense poem and a beautiful image to illustrate it ... neat learning a bit about your childhood passions, too ;) Way to go, girl!
