Don't know how to put a picture on from the discussion so have added an attachment. SOmeone gave me a prompt to do a collage and images from a beginning image. I started with the stencil image in blue and did collage and texta additions. There is also another page I did which I haven't attached. Anyone else interested in using an image as a jump off point for a collage.

I like how your textas echo the stencils, and your choice of words for the circle. The speedometer is quite a contrast to the word "Spirit"- good choice!

Lin, thanks for your ideas about the collage. it is nice to have the feedback. Will you do a collage working on an image?

Susan. that's usually how mine start, with one image that "takes the lead" and gives me a theme. I will see what I can do with this after I get the stencil challenge done. I haven't started it yet. Is there a particular image you would like me to start with?

Lin, start with any image that takes your fancy. I'll be most interested to see what you do with the challenge. I am doing some more stenciling in my altered book using a doiley.

Okay...got ink. Now do I just find and image and do something with that, use your attached images, or what susan? Sorry, I'm a little dense this week.

Susan, yes, a great jumping off start for a collage. I wish I could play and maybe next week I will if I am able to get to the distant village that carries ink cartridges so my printer can print again! Grrrrrrr.... it drives me insane to run out of ink, I have like a bazillion things I feel I must print right now!

Carol, I saw a national chain drug store locally (CVS) that is now refilling ink cartridges! Lots cheaper than buying a cartridge too... check around.

Ya, lin... I like have maybe two choices where I live. I have thought of doing an online order but you know, procrastination or something. I did find a re furbished cartridge at radio shack but not too sure if the ink is the same as what I have been using after my print out transfer failure today.

Sorry it didn't work, Carol. Could be the ink formula. Can you take it back?

Here is my collage from an image- I started with the Tattoo woman and went from there. Title is "Saint Gina of the Comet".

hi Lin, are we allowed to know any of the "back story", i.e. why St. Gina of the Comet, or did you just like the sound ot it? I love that spinner The picture creates an optical illusion to me, all the elements coming forward towards me, makes my heart beat a little faster. I see opical illusions like this in the collages I've done, yet the rest of my family can't see this.

Hey Angie, that was all I could spell out of the words in the mundane and boring images original images! Sainthood was a natural with that honkin' big halo!

Don't see the optical illusions but then I really need my glasses changed; it's been 7 years since I had a new pair!
