I'm Aries & I've heard a lot of CCSrs say they're this or that Astro sign. I think I'd like to do a collage on this theme...This idea crept in and followed me like a little kitten, I've shewed it away but it keeps returning. I might do mine about Aries or I might do it as a (Christmas?)gift for someone. I'm not planning on rushing this one, it's going to be an ongoing project...but I thought I'd sprinkle the seeds here as well in case anyone else would like to to have a go. I don't know what approach I'll take yet...as I (if I) get any inspiration I will post here. I suppose it doesn't have to be astro. it could be Chinese signs if anyone prefers....Hee hee: I've just remembered my father-in-law always teases me for believing in "such rubbish" so I might do a special one just for him!!!

Angie, that would be a hoot if you made a collage with your father-in-law's sign for him :-).

I think this is a great idea! I don't know much about signs, but I could learn a little more by doing a collage on mine. I am a Gemini. I know it means I have two sides to me, but that's about all I really know!

First I will finish my Message in a Bottle. I have the background done and the images ready, so I am getting there!

Hi Angie,
Your new discussion sounds fun. By the way, I am a fellow Ram too. So I will be particularly intrigued to see what
you come up with. I knew there was a reason I felt a connection
with you. I'm more on the cusp with Pisces so I can go pretty much either way. A Sheep with Fins
or a wooley fish, hm. Yes, I think gifting your father-in-law with a special horoscope collage all his own might
open his eyes. And if nothing else, it's just a good challenge for you.
Whatever the case, I am looking forward to what pops up here. You are certainly full of good creative
ideas, that's for sure!

Cool idea, Angie ... I've fooled around digitally with an image I colored with pencils ... feels rather unfinished, but may as well post it here ... I am a Leo :)

Nice Barb! Love the colors and the background!

Barb, Your Leo is magnificent! Love the colors, his compassionate, piercing eyes -- there is a friendliness and strength about him. The background is gorgeous! Wow.

Nice idea Angie. I may play along. I was born under the Aries (there are a few other discussions around ccs about this) but I am not the character traits associated with Aries. I do fit the Pisces character to a T. I only know this because my sister is Pisces- and her traits fit me and mine fit her.
I am a fish in a rams body. LOL Someone in one of the other discussions told me stuff that was complicated to me, but she said that since I was born on the cusp- and the sun was in such and such a house with something else rising- and something about the moon- (told ya I didn't understand it :-) ) that it was perfectly normal for me to be more Pisces than Aries.
I will one day have to have a real reading done.

Anyway- a collage may be a good way for me to reflect on these opposites- maybe one collage to each sign and one of the two together.

Wow, three CCSrs with very similar astro signs ... how synchronistic is that? Let's see the first guy I ever went out with was an Aries ... and so was the one who found me online thirty-some years later ... and I'm really glad I didn't wind up with either one of them! But Aries women I like! I've known one Gemini, former housemate ... he was very talkative and "heart centered" like Mo ....

Hi everyone,
I've read all the posts above & will reply here. Lot's of fluffy fish proliferating I see. I don't know what kind of Aries I am, if I did know my hr. of birth I've forgotten. When I read the typical traits tho' I think they sound like me, more or less.

Barb, love mr Lion, & have just checked out the other version in "Words n Pics". How big is it? I can imagine a massive one hung up on your wall would make a great talking point. And it feels so warm too to look at, especially in the winter I could imagine it would warm everyone up. Spk. soon.

"Heart-centered" -- I haven't heard of that before, but it sounds like a nice thing. Thanks, Barb!

This may/may not be of interest to y'all: I checked this book out of the library "The Manual of Illustration Techniques" by Catharine Slade (ISBN: 0-7136-6650-1) & a lot of the ideas could be applied to our collages. One thing in particular that may/may not be of interest in relation to horoscope collages is modelling 3-D images (pages 33 & 121) ... she suggests using either "found" objects or "made" objects say from modelling clay...to position on your collage before photographing it. In the examples she shows of horoscope collages she has modelled a fish for instance for Pisces. It might be something that you are already aware of or have already tried...Anyway, I found this rather a "different" & useful book.
