Hi: I am here looking for some links for buying beads. My daughter is making some bead weaving necklaces and she needs some size 11 clear amber beads with orange holes. She has been unable to find them in her usual places. Any links would be appreciated.

Hi Lisa, glad to see you here :) Click on View All to see all the discussions ... there are some other jewelry groups around CCS, too.

Anne, I haven't tried Etsy for selling and I don't know what the fees are, I've heard it's pretty easy to set up though! And very popular, giving ebay a lot of competition when it comes to handcrafted art.

Barb-Artfire.com looks really cool! I've bought stuff on Etsy before. What is the difference between the two?

Hi CF,
Glad to see you here :) Just looked at your etsy shop, nice! I've just joined ArtFire.com and am working on setting up my shop. It's pretty reasonable, only $7 per month for the first 5000 members, it's in beta right now, working out the bugs. I'm hopeful to start selling there soon.

Love dominos ... I just picked up a package at the thrift store the other day of black wooden ones with dragons on the back by Milton Bradley :)

Hang in there ... you'll find your way to some other source of income sooner or later. I'm glad you found CCS!

I am a jewelry designer who is passionate about re-interpreting ethnic design, inspired by southwestern Native American, North African, Central Asian and so forth...
My jewelry is available at my etsy shop http://www.crypticfragments.etsy.com

I am currently unemployed after the company which was supposedly hiring me imposed a hiring freeze so this (in conjunction with my Zazzle galleries) is actually my sole source of income at the moment! I would appreciate you looking to see if there is anything you are interested in!

Thank you!

This is from another group I belong to that helps out beaders who are having problems ... if you are thinking of buying any beads, please check out Charlene's site, she has seed beads, Czech beads, books, etc, and good prices.

Okay guys, let's do what we do best, help Charlene Booth
one more time. Her 28 year old son, Richard has an
inoperable brain tumor and they have no insurance. Richard
was going to donate half his liver to his father Harold. We
raised enough money $5000 for the transplant and it was
10 days out; when the local hospital killed him, and before he
was transported to Los Angeles hospital, he bled out
through all his pores.

Charlene has a free shipping sale going on now for bead orders
over $30.00. Next week, it will be 20% off sale, so take advantage
and help her and Richard while replenishing your own bead
stashes.

Let's pay it forward big time!!
