Beautiful each and every one! Sandpaper, neat idea MARY, looks great! Susan, yours have a recognizable style for me now, I just love it, and your lettering. Mary Hicks, your series of haikus are so kewl, and Judy's colors and stitches, wow :)

How clever! We have the cleverest people here, don't we?! Sandpaper- who would have thought it? Or Haikus?

I got my ATC's yeah!!!!

So here they are. Five lovely summery cards from Lin (Be the butterfly), Boneita (dream butterfly), Tina (red poppies on black/white patterend background) Melydia (polka dot fiesta) and Ninnie (?) Summer night fun -Chasing fireflies with a little light switch (clever!) it took me a while to see the switch but finally did and switched on and tada! the little firefly's tail flickered.

Thank you so much everyone and you DJ for hosting this summer fiesta of beautiful ATCs!

Claude Aimée - going back to the garden, it's keeping me busy full time these days so not much time to go on the computer ;-)

Claude Aimee, I'm so glad these arrived to you safely...
I wanted to tell you I loved your ATC envelopes; were they made from magazine pages? Or something other printed material? They were great visually and I enjoyed seeing them together with the ATCs.
Great work!

Hi DJ!

I made the envelopes from magazine pages or photos from old recycled books, like in the case of the skyscrapers. Whenever I find visually attractive pieces of paper from magazines, newspapers, old maps, I keep them and recycle them into all sorts of envelopes. ATCs don't need a big piece of paper so it's great for that.

The images you used really had impact, Claude Aimee. I haven't yet made any envelopes for ATCs, but your inspired me to try it sometime. Thanks for participating in the Swap.

Hi Barbara,

Well, you asked for it so here goes:

First two photos: the front patch. All the spring flowers are finished so I cut them down and weeded (once more) and now I'm ready to plant the annuals. Photo 3: my clematis plants are doing well and they are blooming like crazy. Photo 4: a veggie garden patch in the back of the house. I still have to plant the tomatoes, cucombers and zucchinis. As a joke a neighbor told me I should hurry up to plant the tomatoes, in two weeks, winter starts again... I'll post photos in a few weeks when the annuals have had time to settle and grow around the perennials and the tomatoes and cucumbers are planted.

Beautiful Claude Aimee- I have a question for you- these pictures seem to indicate that you may have an answer...
I have clematis on the side of my house...

My bushes it is growing over need trimmed- but I wanted to wait until after the bloom. I am assuming that you tend to yours to promote growth- these just take care of themselves, more or less.
Would you happen to know if cutting the vines after they bloom will hurt them for next year? I do not know if I should trim them along with the bushes, or try to move the vines out of the way so they do not get cut.
