Hi Everyone,
I have gathered all the treasures and am putting them here so we can see them all together.

If you post a comment please don't reply to the posts with photos so that hopefully they won't get separated. Just start a new comment or reply to someone elses.

I think there are still six sets to come in so we can add those via the reply to the photos and hopefully keep them together. Clear as mud? I hope this works. I think I got all the ones that have been posted but if I missed yours let me know.

Enjoy, Valerie

Hi Mary! From what I have seen so far, you have really expanded in your creative journey! It made me so happy to see these very beautiful haiku-tagged ATCs! BRAVO!

Camille, Don't give it another thought.
How did the Long Island Tea exhibit go? Did you get to the opening? I can't remember if you discussed the opening or not earlier in the summer...Forgive me if you did.
I hope all was wonderful for you.

Thanks for asking, DJ! The exhibition was very diverse, from more traditional to more edgy pieces...The photos that were exhibited were extraordinary!

There was a huge turn out at the opening!!! Some of my artist friends from my past, were there and it was reallly nice to see them...friends from my recent life also came by...it was really a nice day!

The had a gorgeous spread of food, including beautiful, huge, white, med, and dark, chocolate dipped strawberrys...and they served champagne and no soft drinks! Quite classehh, dahlink!

The exhibit ends today...oops...and I just realized that it is time to reclaim the LIIT piece within the next three days...It will be nice to have it home again.

Sounds lovely, kid.
I'm so glad you enjoyed the opening, and I'm sure everyone there loved your perspective on the Long Island Iced Tea theme.

Working on another mahrvelous piece at the moment?
Do take care of yourself, dahling!

Deej

lovely DJ, Thank you for your interest !!!

Yes, I am playing with some small collages, and a mid-sized leaf motif. Also have two very large pieces in the works...one piece, or group of pieces is going to be my new light and airy room divider...made out of waxed paper layers, netting, and light-catching pearly beads...

Did you get creative this summer? Or did you vacate the studio for outdoors??? When I can, I will have a look-see on your blog!
Happy Labor Day!
Love Dabs
Oh, Camille, I would love to see the room divider when you can post it...I love "light & airy." :-)
The leaf motif intrigues me also, as does all of your art, my friend.
Thinking of you,
Deej, who has been just mushing oil paint around in applications, explorations and in pursuit of fun...!
Deej...It will be some time before that room divider is complete, but I promise to let ya know and share when completed.

I don't know DJ, but mushing around with oil paint, sounds like a good place to be! Think of all the discoveries that will happen for you as you continue mushing...

DeKoonig used to put mayo in his oil paints, so maybe mushing up some bananas into the paint will give you "food" for thought and inspiration!!! : )

Love Dabsomayo
Camille,
I just love to mush! lol... I've been using a palette knife for the past few months, then I usually resort to finger tips.
After spending so much time washing my hands, I tried rubber gloves. Well, I mushed so much with my fingers, that I tore holes in my rubber gloves, so I just use my fingers without protection and clean them in Goop afterwards.
I have started buying cheap canvases upon which to mush, so I can freely mush without restraint. lol...
Love Laughter, and Mushing!
Deej
DJ...in place of my fingers for mushing oil around- partly to keep my fingers cleaner and partly because my fingers are to big for little canvases- I have been using those rubber tipped tools... originally sold with sculpture stuff to mush clay with- they then made their way to charcoal and pastel blending...now oils. They mush beautifully- and wipe clean as a whistle with just a rag. They come in a variety of sizes. Do you know what critters I am talking about? If not I can post a picture.
Palette knife and rubber tip thing-a-ma-jig are my weapons of choice these days :-)
