PLEASE DON’T POST YOUR ATC’S FOR THIS SWAP ONLINE ANYWHERE, HERE OR OTHERWISE.
We want this to be a surprise. Don’t spoil it….! Anything goes. They do not have to be alike. They may be collaged, painted, drawn, anything. Any collage material: paper, cloth, embellished, etc.
The size must be 2 ½” x3 ½” on heavy paper or card stock.
2. Signing:
On the back: Print your CCS username.
Print your e-mail for contact purposes.
Title
Signature (as in artist’s signature)

CCS Spring Mega Swap 2008

3. Packaging:
You may want to put them in a card sleeve (baseball card collector’s page with pockets) or plastic ziploc bag to protect them.
A rectangle of cardboard is recommended within the final envelope. Or other padding.
Bubble wrap is optional, or the bubble-lined envelope is another option.

4. Envelope & Postage:
E-mail Heidi for the address.
Address your envelope with a return address.
Write ‘FRAGILE’ or ‘DO NOT BEND’ on the outside. (Artsy decorations welcome!)
Affix postage.
If you can help with return postage, that would be great.
If you’re mailing internationally, please send an envelope.
If you like to make labels on your computer, you may just want to print out a return address label and include in the envelope.

5. Posting:
Mail them to Heidi.
Please post them by March 15th.

6. Wait for your Treasures!
When I make sure I have all the ATC’s of the participants, I will mix them up appropriately, and mail you some artistic goodies!

Please post questions below.
Thank you for participating,
Heidi

Strikes me that we could create one enormous Spring Swap Album if everyone put their atc's in the photos section...Ah, well, perhaps too late but an idea for another time?
WildCherry Comment by WildCherry on April 16, 2008 at 3:38pm
I posted mine into an album here because I had already scanned them separately and it was going to take me forever to upload them. Enjoy!

Hi Carolyn, you can start posting right away! Just make your own discussion titled "Carolyn´s ATCs" or something and put your pics there. I think it´s best if everyone creates their own discussion for their ATCs. If we all post in the same discussion it will get extremely long with all the comments and pics in one big tangled mess.

DABS, I went to your ATC post on the main page and counted the pics in it - I see 14 different ATCs, not 13. Someone help!

MALINDA, you were only supposed to receive 14. Dan didn´t make any, he only received, we just aggreed to make an extra for him anyway. Someone suggested early on that we did that.
Then there was one member, Kisten, who had to drop out on the send-out date itself - so that is also one who you did not receive from. Plus, you didn´t receive one from yourself.

I will admit it is hard for me to explain, let alone get it straight in my own head! Some of you told me to keep the one that would have gone to Kisten - if anyone did not want me to keep it and I kept it anyway, please let me know and I will send it to you!

WILDCHERRY, sorry for sending you two from Barb! What a bummer on my part. I hope I didn´t screw up too much with this swap. And yes, I think you can use the `options´
button to resize when you post a pic in a discussion.

One thing I didn´t do but should have done was to count how many each person sent me, and then put any extras aside BEFORE I began distributing ATCs into their new envelopes. That would have made it easier to catch any mistakes. As it was, I just laid all 15 stacks out and took one off the top of each stack. And in a few cases I ended up with 2, not 1, extra at the end of it. I do not know if it was because some of you sent me an extra or because I accidentally cheated someone of that card. Again I apologise if I have kept one that I shouldn´t have kept - I do not mean to be sloppy or a thief who tucks extra ATCs into my own pocket - so please let me know if anything is not right.

I have an extra ATC of Barb's which would account for why at least one other person is short...

I've already scanned my treasures individually so I'm afraid they will have to go up just like that...I could always do several posts so they are not so long. Plus in the blogs you can post a thumbnail with a link to a larger image, can u do that in discussions? That would cut down the size of posts and page loading times.

I posted the pix with all this joy and it took me forever to post them. I honor rules whenever I can. I hope there are no repercussions from CCS because I don't have the heart to take them off now.

Thank you Heidi! I never expected to recieve them so soon!
You did a marvy job as swap hostess, my dear artist friend from across the miles! Love Dabs

How To Write When You Think You’ve Forgotten How

Beneath all your fears and concerns about writing, you have the same abilities that you've always had. In fact, because now you're more experienced than you've ever been before and you've more material in your own life to draw upon, you're actual in the best position you've ever been to rediscover your creative writing abilities.

How To Find Your Natural Writing Style

Finding your own unique voice in writing is not something that can simply happen overnight.

When we’re born, we don’t pop out of our mother’s womb conversing fluently in 3 different languages. It takes time to discover how to communicate, and even when we’ve achieved a competent grasp our native language, it’s still a lifelong journey of finding new nuances, learning new words and honing the way we communicate so we can understand – and are understood – more clearly.

So your writing is a natural extension of this. Even when you have that competency in your mother tongue, as a writer you can then go on to develop an original and distinctive writing style. Here are 5 tips to make this a rewarding journey:
