Songs Of The Senses 2009
We're relaunching the Songs Of The Senses project for 2009!Everyone is welcome to join, just click on the + Join Songs Of The Senses link at the top right of the page to get started.
Each of us experience and interact with the world through our senses, and for artists, our senses are our most valuable possessions...
This group project is to encourage us all to get in touch with each of our senses more closely...
Here's the challenge: create 6 pieces of art over 12 weeks, one for each of the 5 recognised senses: Sight, Sound, Scent, Taste, Touch, plus one for a sixth sense of your own choosing...
Your artwork can be in any form, and doesn't have to be the obvious one for the sense chosen. For example you don't have to write a song for the sense of sound, you could write a poem, do a collage, a sculpture, or anything else, it's up to you.
You can create a series all in the same creative medium for this project if you wish, or go with whatever inspires you for each sense.
The timeframe:
Start date: Saturday 28th Feb 2009
Finish date: Saturday 23rd May 2009
As soon as you have a piece completed for any of the senses, post it in a reply in the appropriate discussion below.
