MosaicGlobe believes that the arts are a vital part of our lives and these Competitions were established to encourage the members of our online community and to acknowledge their talent.

Creativity Competition 2008 .02
MosaicGlobe's Creativity Community Competition is juried event open to MosaicGlobe artists in the areas of photography, traditional mediums, visual design, decorative and functional Arts. All submissions are accepted and will be reviewed. Work will be judged on the creativity and overall artistic quality of the entire body of work presented on your MosaicGlobe website.

There is no entry fee for the competition.

DEADLINE: JUNE 23, 2008

AWARDS: $300 cash award per category (4) and $100 for an Honorable mention (12).

RED BUBBLE WRITING, PHOTOGRAHY AND ART COMPETITION

Limited edition book.

Inviting entries for the RedBubble book — “Compassion”. If your work is published you will receive $US100 to purchase from the amazing works at RedBubble.

The Publication
“Compassion” is RedBubble’s 3rd Quarterly Publication. A premium, limited edition book containing the finest selection of writing and art on the net.

In “Compassion” we want to shine the light on ordinary and extraordinary kindness. In the words of the Desiderata “many persons strive for high ideals; and everywhere life is full of heroism.”

Submit writing and images that illuminate the idea of compassion.

Categories
The publication will be a mix of written and visual work:

1. Poetry: Poems of under 500 words.
2. (very) Short Stories: Short stories of under 500 words
3. Photography
4. Non-photographic digital images: includes digital art and graphic design
5. Originals: scanned paintings and illustrations

You can submit work of any of these types. All works must be on the theme of “Compassion”.

Thanks for alerting us to these two very exciting competitions. The first one gives you totally free hands, and the second one is an invitation to contribute to a collaborative effort, a themed book - one that I would like to own, actually! I am having a couple of ideas already.
