100 years from now, someone will be living at my address and will receive an envelopd postmarked 5/31/08 addressed to me. They'll open it up, draw a breath full of wonderment, call the newspaper and a whole new way of art will be re-discovered just because your mail got lost this week. Ya think? XO

BTW, I have posted stuff to my brother in LA from NY, and sometimes he doesn't get the mailings for weeks, and other times he gets his mail amazingly fast...

I bet those inchies of yours will show up...not surprisingly, even after your newer post gets there...

It seems the new postal rate has not produced a more reliable system as of yet!

Agent 99, will you please do an undercover investigation of the postal system for us?

Maybe when you addressed your inchies, you mistakenly used your 5 second self-destructing mail envelopes by accident????

Maybe that was it Dabs...as the self-destructing message here was a dud.

Maybe it's karma...when I was younger I used to mail stuff to my sister for free...I was just curious if it would work, so I addressed the letter to myself and put my sister's name and address in the return address spot- then conviently forgot to attach a stamp... Sure enough they 'returned' the letter to the sender for postage. So I mailed the letter to my sister free. ( Of course, they caught onto this after a time or two but was fun while it lasted)..

There's been a time or two when I've mailed a bill with the bill's address as the return address - sans postage - and it's never come back! I think the postal service is pretty smart, but not smart enough to open an envelope and figure out what address to send a bill back to!

Mary, I am not sure if it is a typo or a reado, but what did you mean by "sans postage"? Was that supposed to be 'and'... to mean you did put a stamp on it, or you didn't?
