I'm back in computer land thanks to Toshiba, who sent me replacement cords. My recharger/power cord caught fire (!) and I managed to yank it out of the computer before it damaged it, at the price of a burnt finger. It was made in China, natch! (The power supply, not the finger duh) So a word of warning, unplug laptops when they will be unattended, even if just for a minute. If I hadn't been right there, it might have burned the house down. The cord showed no breaks in it but the power supply had been acting "funny" for a week or two and I thought it was just a loose connection. Shows how wrong you can be.
