Many of us 'Spacers have been through painful periods of grieving, mourning and sorrowing.
Spacers write of loss of their pets, serious health challenges that debilitate, divorces, and loss of family or friends, and then there is catastrophic loss through natural disasters, car accidents, etc.

We grieve when we meet with these critical life challenges. I am grieving right now for the recent loss of a much loved soul-mate. It has made me wonder how our grief and sorrow effects our creativity...

Did you create during times of grieving or put it away?
Did sorrow change your creative habits?
Did you use sorrow as a starting point for a new inspiration?
Did it change the way you made art or the images you produced?

I would love to read of your experiences regarding how grief effected or is effecting your creative live...Please do share here!
Sincerely, Camille

Susan, glow worms must be absolutely breath-taking in real life! If you ever go on a trip to a glow worm cave, I would love to be a traveling partner...they also intrigue me greatly too...On TV I saw some beautiful clips of glow worms. I think this is one of them

Susan, you are not too far from New Zealand! I think someday you will make it to the glow worm caves there!!! Have seen some awesome Animal Planet episodes on them...they create amazing glittering pearls of beauty out something rather yucky! Amazing!

Camille, I'll be sure to share any and all of my traveling adventures including the glow worms. Lot of snow holidays would be good too.

Dabs, I just found this incredibly synchronistic piece of writing-it's 38deg C here, and I literally broke out in goosebumps reading it-thank you so much for sharing, you have no idea just what this symbolism means to me...

When my dad died, on 12the April 2000, we came back from the hospital with his clothes and things-the sky was a deep indigo, threatening rain, but right at the end of our street was a brilliant rainbow-we stood in awe-I know it was a sign from him-it was like he was saying "It's all okay darling, now I have this wonderful new medium of light to play with'...this happened 3 days in a row, at exactly 4pm-it reminded me of Christs 3 days in the tomb, and the awakening into new and eternal life-life and death are interconnected-I am convinced we are given the gift of our 'earth years' in order for our spirit to grow, and become one with the Universe and the one creator of all-what a journey! hugs

Julia, I remember three days after the 9/11 tragedies, a huge, completely perfect rainbow came out to greet us. People were getting out of their cars and praising God, and crying with joy and comfort at this sight. I will never forget that rainbow! Love Dabs

Thanks for posting these links, Julesie ... in reading the second one and the comments that followed, I just had a weird moment, reading Malinda's vision of the peublo village, since I've had a painting of exactly what she described above my computer desk since I moved here. The only thing missing is the people ... they are all here at CCS :) Malinda mentions one of the things going on, trading jewelry for ATCs ... Susan H and I are currently doing exactly that ...

Did I miss something? Is Malinda back?

I think Barb was refering to Malinda's response in the blog I posted the link to above Mary. As far as I know Malinda is still riding off into the sunset with her western man:-)
